Welcome to Steps & Threads. By purchasing or engaging in our services, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Payment Terms

  • Upfront Payment: Full payment is required before the production of any custom or standard dress begins.
  • Currency Display: All prices are displayed in USD on our website; however, payments will be processed in Hong Kong Dollars (HKD) at checkout. Clients are responsible for any currency conversion fees or variations based on exchange rates at the time of payment.

2. Timelines

  • Standard Production Timeline: The standard timeline for production is 40 days, excluding weekends, public holidays, and other unforeseen delays.
  • Rush Orders: Expedited services may be available at an additional cost. Please inquire for specific timelines and fees.
  • Delays: While we strive to meet all deadlines, delays due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., supply chain disruptions) may occur. We will notify clients promptly in such cases.

3. Order Confirmation

  • Design Approval: For custom dresses, clients must approve the design, including fabric, embellishments, and measurements, prior to production. No changes can be made once production has started.
  • Measurements: Clients are responsible for providing accurate measurements. Steps & Threads is not liable for inaccuracies in fit caused by incorrect measurements provided by the client.

4. Shipping and Delivery

  • Standard Shipping: Standard shipping is included in the dress pricing.
  • Expedited Express Shipping: Clients may can upgrade to expedited express shipping for an additional $65 USD for an additional cost.
  • Customs and Taxes: Steps & Threads is not responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or fees incurred during shipping. Clients should check their country’s specific regulations and be prepared to cover any applicable charges.
  • Tracking: Once shipped, tracking information will be provided. Steps & Threads is not liable for delays caused by the shipping carrier or delays caused by customs.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

  • No Cancellations: Orders are not cancellable once placed.
  • No Refunds: Due to the custom nature of our products, all sales are final, and refunds are not available.
  • Damaged Items: If an item arrives damaged, clients must notify Steps & Threads within 3 days of receipt and provide evidence of the damage. We will assess the situation and may offer repairs or replacements at our discretion.

6. Alterations and Adjustments

  • Free Alterations: Free alterations may be provided upon request but exclude shipping costs.
  • Post-Delivery Adjustments: Clients are responsible for shipping costs associated with alterations.

7. Intellectual Property

  • All designs created by Steps & Threads are the intellectual property of the company and may not be reproduced or copied without written consent.
  • By submitting custom design ideas, clients agree to allow Steps & Threads to use these designs for future product development or promotional purposes unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

8. Liability

  • Steps & Threads is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products.

9. Privacy Policy

  • We respect your privacy. Personal information collected is used solely for order fulfillment and communication purposes. For more details, please see our Privacy Policy.

10. Dispute Resolution

  • In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to make reasonable efforts to resolve the matters through amicable negotiation. If the dispute remains unresolved, disputes willit shall be governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China.
